1. Provider and agreement
Vigent is operated by WriteIt.ai s.r.o., ID 04518136, VAT ID CZ04518136, Na Folimance 2155/15, Vinohrady, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic, Commercial Register of the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 247717. Contact: support@vigent.legal. These terms govern the website, account and interfaces we make available. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for any organisation you represent.
2. Legal data and external agents
Vigent provides access to legal source material and related metadata through the interfaces actually available. It does not provide legal representation, a legal adviser, a contract drafting or review service, or a hosted answer agent. You choose and control any external agent or application that uses your credentials. You remain responsible for checking legal conclusions, source authenticity, effective dates and suitability before relying on them.
3. Source terms
Third-party material remains subject to applicable rights and source-specific conditions. Preserve attribution and notices supplied with it, including notices that original source material is free or that a copy is not authentic. A service charge pays for our access and processing service and does not transfer rights in third-party material. Availability of a source is not a promise of complete or current coverage. Do not assume that an archived document is served by the query service.
4. Accounts and credentials
Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in links, sessions and API keys. Do not share credentials publicly or let agents disclose them. Revoke credentials you believe are compromised. You are responsible for actions you authorise through your account, except to the extent loss results from our breach or responsibility that the law does not let us exclude. Do not bypass access or spending controls, interfere with the service, misuse others' data or use it unlawfully.
5. Usage and prices
Paid use requires the applicable price list and payment process to be presented before it begins. Charges are calculated from actual service usage according to the price list in effect for that usage. Where prepaid credits apply, payment adds credit to the account and eligible usage reduces it. A balance is not a bank deposit, does not earn interest and cannot be transferred unless we expressly allow it. Nothing in these terms removes a statutory refund right. You can stop future usage and revoke credentials.
6. Changes to prices and terms
We may revise prices for future usage; a revision does not reprice usage already incurred. Where a change to an ongoing agreement requires notice or a right to reject under mandatory law, we notify you by account email and allow the required opportunity to reject and end affected use before the change applies. We may change, limit or discontinue features or the service, subject to applicable law and any rights that cannot be excluded.
7. Availability and responsibility
To the extent legally permitted, the service is supplied as available, without a service-level, uptime, completeness, accuracy, recovery or support-response commitment. Keep your own records and copies. External publishers and your agent providers operate independently. We do not control their availability or output. We may suspend access for security, abuse, nonpayment or breach, and may end the service or an account subject to mandatory rights.
8. Business liability
For a customer acting in business, to the extent legally permitted, liability for indirect loss and lost profit is excluded and our aggregate contractual liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months and EUR 500. You indemnify us against third-party claims caused by your unlawful use or breach, except where caused by our own breach or negligence. No exclusion covers intent, gross negligence, harm to natural rights or other responsibility that mandatory law does not allow us to restrict.
9. Personal data and customer material
The Privacy Policy describes our processing of account and website data. Do not submit client files, confidential case material or personal data for processing on your behalf through a feature that does not expressly accept it. Any future customer-data processing feature must provide the necessary processing agreement before it is used. These terms do not license us to train models on customer documents.
10. Consumer and statutory rights
Mandatory consumer protections and remedies remain unaffected. For a distance contract for paid services, a consumer may withdraw within the statutory 14-day period unless a lawful exception applies. Early performance and any proportionate payment require the separate express requests and information required by law; browsing, a general terms acceptance or first use alone does not waive withdrawal. Contact support@vigent.legal to exercise withdrawal or send a statement identifying your account, agreement date and request to withdraw. A consumer can seek out-of-court dispute resolution from the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI), Štěpánská 44, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic, at www.coi.cz. Statutory time limits and conditions apply.
11. Governing law and contact
Czech law governs these terms, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence. Statutory jurisdiction rules remain unaffected. Open-source client software has the licence stated in its own repository; that licence does not grant free hosted service access. Contact support@vigent.legal or write to our registered office for account, privacy, legal or termination requests.
